Critiquing my code according to my UE and UX specifications

Original Coded site -

With this original coded site I went off my eye, which wasn't the best idea as it didn't actually teach me how to design for code. Here is the original -

Using UE and UX specifications:

After creating the site above I was happy with my coding abilities, but once I created my document for hand in I realised that my measurements that I had typed up for an actual web-designer didn't correspond. So from this I used my specifications -

and updated all of the measurements according to these.

From this my site now looks correct -

After this I had my best intentions to add in my dropdown menu in JavaScript as people in class I heard have done this, but after many trails I really do no understand JavaScript at all and my capabilities without being physically taught aren't to this level. I am happy with how my coded article page is now and am happy that it is a functional page which although isn't interactive as no other pages are created I am happy with where my skills have developed and that I am able to create one page in code. It is also nice that the start listening hover can actually stay at a fixed position on the bottom of the screen here showing a bit more functionality which my site would ideally have.
